Community Service

JD’s Glassworks is committed to our community and the development of its people.  Our corporate showroom proudly displays numerous plaques of the kids’ teams we have sponsored in baseball, softball, lacrosse, soccer, basketball, gymnastics and football.  The owner of JD’s Glassworks, ‘Coach Jerry’ as he is known in the community, donates his time to teach children the values of teamwork and sportsmanship.

Jerry is also active in the local High School, being called upon to teach a character education class on a monthly basis in addition to sponsoring Chorus groups and Cheerleading competition.  In addition, Jerry is active in the Georgia Mental Health Association for the prevention of suicide and treatment of depression.

Several other Associates of JD’s Glassworks are active in a variety of community service projects.  Our Finance Manager, Nan, volunteers at the Cherokee County Humane Society.  Various other Associates have been active in overseas missions efforts.   The entire company rallied behind three of our associates in sponsoring them on a 30 mile walk to raise funds for the Breast Cancer Research.  Every Christmas Season, the Associates of the company rally to support the needy in the community.  One year 80 pairs of blue jeans and packages of underwear and socks were donated to clothe the homeless through the City of Refuge Ministries in Midtown Atlanta. In other years we have adopted the children of the Goshen Valley Boys and Girls Ranch to bless them with gifts.

JD’s Glassworks, Inc. strives to be more than an organization.  We are a team of people who care about people.  Our care and concern for our fellow man is evident in the products we handcraft, sell and service as well as how we act and contribute in our respective communities.
